Here's an original wing for you guys restoring an original Daytona and needing a wing.
He's asking $4500. Sounds about right for something so rare.

When I see a rare part like this for sale 2 questions come to my mind:
1) Will a Daytona owner with a repro or fiberglass wing step up and buy the real thing?
2) What happened to the rest of the Daytona?

I never sold one for .I had a guy few years back had one for a $1000,00 that would take $800.00 from me .Then I seen a ad in a newsletter desperately needed a real daytona wing for resto in Ohio .Gave this guy the heads up .Later I see him asking $5000.00 for it

Original Daytona wings have to be pretty rare. More rare than the Superbird wings.
I bought an original Superbird wing a year ago or so. I was originally  planning to use it on the clone but have decided to sell the clone project. I'm going to let the Steel wing go with the clone deal and keep the real wing in case anything ever happens to the original wing on my Superbird. I know there are people that would consider that hoarding but I know of a guy that has a building full of original parts including several wings and no cars for them to go on. That makes me feel a little better about holding on to my wing.  :yesnod:

Those studs look too short too.

You're right. They do look kind of short. Don't think they're long enough to go through the quarter, wing washer and wing brace and still have enough thread left.

Saw 2 wings for sale on the same day at one of the Englishtown swap meets back in the early 80's. One was $100 for the 3 pieces, but the front point on one of the bases was broken off. The other was $400 & had the washers & the uprights included. I thought the guy asking $400 was nuts.  :smilielol:
