Ok so I decided to bling it out and run a stripe AND the emblems....even tho its full incorrect, nd my car was stripe delete...theres one small problem with this and that is that the '70 stripe without the cut out R/T (which is what I needed) is 5/16's wider than the '69 stripe..so basically I centered the stripe on the
side reflector housing..which gave me a clean 4" measurement from the back edge of the car in 3 spots....top edge of 1/4 panel at trunk seam, top edge ofe the 1/4 and hafway down the quarter...this alows for a clean placement..BUT you have to drill your emblem holes about 1/4 inch forward of the normal spot in order to also center the emblem.......

to get the stripe to align easy what we did is this....we laid a temporary tape stripe on the car 3/7'8" inches from the edge and then once we lined up the back of the stripe with that the extra paper gave us the full 4" measurement..made it super easy as we had a line to but up against while squeeging.
