Nostolgic Race and Show in California

I plan to attend this nostaligic event on Saturday May 22. Maybe some of you other crazy Mopar folks might want to join in. Eagle Field. West of Fresno (Dos Palos), near the 5 and in the middle of nowhere, but not so far from LA or especially the Bay Area.

It is old school racing, held at Eagle Field, formerly an US Army air field. The event is the 1st Annual Fresno Dragways Reunion (for cars 73 and earlier). Last year they had the 1st Annual Eagle Field Hot Rod Gathering, for 65 and earlier. It was such a success that they will have two events a year.

The racing is not outlaw, underground, or illegal, (they have county permits) it is OLD SCHOOL. No timers, no NHRA fees, a FLAG STARTER, 1/8 mile on the historic air strip, grudge races, run what you brung. $10 admission, only $20 more to race. Free camping. An old school rendezvous for hot rodding.

Lots of old time hot rods from the 30's to the 50's. Lots of history and old timers. I attached the flyer and links to the website (not much of a site) and a link to the forum of participants. Remember it is just people having fun, not upscale or pristine conditions. No shade, dirt roads, just an old Army air strip and hangers.
