Is this throttle stud right?

I put this Holley on my car and had a smaller throttle stud on the Eddy that came off. I tried the smaller throttle stud and it would bind on the linkage every so often at WOT, so I put this longer one on. Car runs fine, but it does not look right or I have something not installed right. Can someone give me some direction here. Do I have this installed right? It just looks goofy to me.

The small clip on the end of the stud came with the stud the other clip I put on the stud because the linkage works to the end of the stud while driving. Is that ok?

I found a few Mopar pics,,,looks to be the "long" version like you have now,,,as long as it does hit your air cleaner,,etc,,,,,

ps,,,on the "longer" rod,,,it looks like you could attach another (2nd) carb return spring to it,,,to clean things up,,,,( as opposed to running one off the front of the motor like you have in your pic ),,either way should work,

Thanks Doug that helps a lot. I will clean things up with a washer and relocate the springs.

The attaching nut should be a taller nut to take up the slack between the kickdown rod & the first notch.   A washer & the hairpin clip take up the free space.

The second notch is for the kickdown return spring as shown on my setup

Great picture...I got mine figured out now.

Looks as if you have two different studs,one for the throttle cable and one for the throttle pressure rod.Both you show are aftermarket.With the OEM stud,throttle cable and return spring goes on the small end and the throttle pressure rod and spring go on the long end.This is the correct stud.
