I found this out the other day. As some of you remember, over the winter of 2007, I had to sell it due to hardships that fell on me. The guy I sold it too, got it running, then sold it to another guy about a hour north of me. He did a total restoration last year, and even won a trophy for it in a car show. Well, now in the May or June Muscle Car Reveiw magazine, the car will be in the magazine. I forgot to ask if it is a feature car, or just a reader's ride deal. But either way, For me, it is cool, since I saved it from the desert. For me, this will be the first time I personally had something to do with a car that made it into a magazine.

Before and after pics.

I was following that build thread and didn't realize that it was your car. Any plans for another Charger in the future?

Where is the build thread?

Personally, i like the old color better than the new.   :Twocents:

Maybe. I'm not getting any younger, and there are a lot of cars I would love to have yet. The big "Maybe" comes because the car prices are getting out of what I can afford to pay anymore. And I would LOVE to own a Trans Am or Camaro, another Nova, Monte Carlo SS, another Mustang, Roadrunner, or '68 Coronet yet some day. If I could find a complete second gen Charger again for under $3000, I'd be all over it. But......

Nice car but I just don't like that 4wd look it has. I'd lower it as much as possible.

Where did you get the seats for the Charger?

The front and rear seats are out of a Chrylser 300M.

I believe the current owner used seats from a 300M, or some LX platform.

Liked it better before!!

Is it me or is that lower line on the rear quarter missing??

Not digging the seats one bit! Or the scoop!

Kinda looks like the car was just thrown together.

TruckDriver

Well, I'm disappointed. I think the car looks awesome. I am not fond white cars. I was first going to redo it almost exactly like he did it (with minor differences), in the same color. But later changed my mind to Petty blue. Anyway, it seems if anyone else here would of done the car, there wouldn't be such a negative responce. I posted because I just thought it was cool it was going to be in a car magazine (like anyone else would of done if it was their car). And seems this post turned into criticism post ::) :rotz:

I think we all just agree you should have been the one to keep it LOL!

Its a nice car, but like i said before i just kinda seems thrown together. You dont see that nice detail work that you usually see with cars like this.

It's obvoiusly done to the new owners taste, and allthough not all the mods are to our tastes,.. I will say those 300M seats are awesomely comfortable and heated too...
That's great the old girl got a new lease on life, But I too wish you could have kept her..  :brickwall:

:flame: LOL The car doesn't look good any any pics that Pete has up and maybe it is not to everyones taste but one thing i can tell you is it gets attention anywhere i go!! And no the quarters didn't lose there detail there wasn't any rust in the one you see in the pic. The other side had a hole and i put on a new lower quarter panel.  :nana: The front is really high in the first pics because anywhere you bring it to get aligned puts it at factory height!! So i had to lower and use a tape measure and the car looks better in last pics!!

It was prob just the angle of the pic than.

Looks better in your pics but neaten up the engine bay a bit. Get those wires routed nicely, not like spaghetti all over the place.

I dont think its a bad looking car, simply not my taste.
