You go out to get the mail and start to flip though the delivery, sorting out the junk mail, the bills, etc. till you come across this...... the March/April 2010 issue of the National Chrysler Product Club Journal newsletter with a big ol' picture of your car on the cover!  How freakin cool is that! :2thumbs:  Ok, so its not the cover of Motor Trend or Mopar Enthusiast Magazine but its still a cover shot!  Hey, today is starting to turn around, all is good!  Until..... flipping through the newletter excited to see what write up I have on my car, I come to page 3.  Big bold letters in the title of the article..... Cover Story..... Brian Kopac' 1969 Charger.  Which is great!  Except my last name is spelled KAPRAL!    After the day I've had, a misspelled last name I can only laugh at.  Reading through the article is actually pretty good.  Its a total of 3 pages with a lot of nicely detailed shots and history that I submitted.  Only downfall is that it is not in color but most small newsletters are done in black and white so I can not fault them there.  I called up the editor of the newsletter to jokingly tell him about the mistake only to leave a message.  I got a call back a couple days later with him being all apologetic and we laughed about the incident.  Somehow the publishing company used my name that appeared after my email address which for some reason showed my last name as Kopac.  Who knows, who really cares.  The editor said he would post a correction in the next issue and there were no hard feelings.  For those of you who are NCPC members, it is the March/April 2010 Journal.  For those of you who are not members, go to http://nationalchryslerproductsclub.com/default.htm and you should be able to see a copy of the Journal and join if you would like to.

:popcrn:  Thats me in the lower right hand pic in the light colored shirt holding the hood.  Wow, hard to believe that was 10 years ago. :scratchchin:  My dad is to the left, our neighbor Fred is behind me also holding the hood.  The guy in the picture above is when my headliner was being installed.  I cant remember the name of the business but I think he specialized in Cadilac tops and interiors and was from the Whippany, NJ area.

Thats always cool when stuff like that happens. I know it was great when I opened up our antique truck magazine and found my truck on the inside page.

Actually, Bill, the white walls only go on for strict point meet or concours type shows.  Lately its been wearing the raised white letter BF Goodrich Radial T/A's.  (or at least wearing down the back ones)   :2thumbs:

That's cool Brian - Congrads.  Hey, I think I see a stone in one of those tires in the picture ...

Brock,

Unfortunately, they do it all TOO easy with the bias ply tires.  Another reason why I like having the radials on there too.  Well, that and better handling. :2thumbs:
