Can someone take a picture of their side stripe where it goes around the mirrors?

I am wondering if the stripe gets trimmed to go around or if you just run the stripe underneath?

Thanks

Mark

I went to your site before I asked you about more pics of that car. I can't get any of the buttons to work. It's like your site totally disables my mouse :-\ :shruggy:

Good timing on this. My 71 is going to the shop for paint next week. I'm thinking about adding this stripe to the car. I would think you remove the mirrors and install the stripe.

BTW, Nacho please send the rest of those pics to my email address so I can inspect the stripe in closer detail.

the stripes i got from yo for my 71 had a cut out section so that the stripe is open around the mirror.back in the late 70's we had painted this car and replaced the stripes with ones purchased from a dealer.these also had the cutouts marked on the backside of the tape.so the big?,have all these cars in the pictures been repainted?.

interesting.  I have a set on order from performance car graphics.  I will post as soon as I get them.  I think it looks fine either way.

As stated by beenaround I have serious doubts about stripe is originally under the mirror and I bet all this pics are repro stripes. I think the original stripe has the cut out to mirror.

Does somebody here have a survivour or untouched 71 R/T with stripe ?

Maybe repro stripes are made on that way thinking on maybe you don't have the original mirrors. I have seen lot of 3rd gens with GM racing wired mirrors.

a further note the yo stripes had locater tabs so that the stripes were positioned correctly.some of the above pictures are just bad as far as being correct.and thats what we try to do on this site  is provide correct info.believe me i've made enough mistakes to build another house!! and i'm not knocking anyones cars.i am just trying to give everyone the benifit of my experience.
