I don't to steal any thunder from 'skinypete' and I know I'm new here but I am almost a senior in high school and I was thinking about going into the high performance engine maching program at northwest technical college in Bemidji and I was wondering some of your feeling about that.

sounds like a great idea to me.  Minnasooooooota! is a cool state.
I'd do a bunch of research on the college of course and see the track record for grads after tech school, etc....
there are always others like MMI, UTC, etc....

Follow what you are interested in! Your young and can try different things, go for it.

I think if you can be a machinist you can make money anywhere. Machinists make great money and are always in demand
