At long last (pix coming) my grille is painted to include 3 coats of SEM satin clear. I'm polishing the last 5 pieces of trim over the weekend and I'd like to protect it with something like SEM gloss clear. Is this the best bet short of re-anodizing? Thanks.

Why couldn't a guy get it powdercoated in a nice bright finish?

The bugle sounds the charge begins. But on this battlefield no one wins.

Working it. Great idea - had a senior moment.

I always push  Glisten pc clearcoat from por-15 for polished metals.  this clearcoat actually gets stronger out in the rain.  and it is specifically designed for Polished metals, whereas a regular clear will peel off after a while.  You can also use it on bead blasted bare metal surfaces.  A guy on the site used it on his suspension parts after bead blasting them. and they look brand new for years.

I have had it on my copper finials on my house and my polished copper garden lights  for about 8 years now  and they still look great and we get 13 feet of rain a year here. U can't go wrong with glisten.  you can brush it on too and it flows out like honey.  but it stays wet and tacky overnight so  have it somewhere that dust is non existent.
