Welp got pulled over for my first time yesterday. 52 in a 40. No ticket got a warning. Cop came up and said
"How ya doing sir?"
Me-"Eh I have had better days."
Cop- "I got ya doing a 52 in a 40."
"Why were you going so fast?"
Me" Honestly sir no excuses I was on an open road with no cars and just wanted to let it loose."  :D
Cop leaves then comes back to my window.
Cop-"I own a RamCharger also!!!!"
I had no reaction I kinda couldn't believe he said it.
Cop-"Since your driving record is perfect i'll let you off on a warning"
Me-"appreciate it sir"

I got pulled over for the first time when I was 18 years old.  Unfortunately for me it was an expensive lesson.  I was roasting the tires at a red light in my 70 Challenger, next to my buddy on a four lane highway.  :drive: When the cop pulled me over I was about a mile down the road and it was about midnight.  I was tagged for excessive exceleration and no insurance.  Two trips to court later and one new insurance premium, I was $400 poorer in fines and insurance premiums....  :'(  It was worth it though.  My buddy had an Aspen with a leaning tower of power and he couldn't turn um over like I could.  :D  That was 25 years ago.

I got pulled over only once in my 30 somethin years of driving. I was 17 and driving the Blue Goose. It was late at night in nowhere Curritick only got one stoplight county and I was doing 40-45 in a 55. Trooper pulls me over to see what's the deal with his flashlight shining on me. I said, "I got nowhere to go fast". Trooper told me to speed it up.  :icon_smile_cool:

Definately your lucky day.

Cops around my parts feel they just hit the lotter when they get to write a ticket for someone that has a perfect record.

I got lucky once and got pulled over doing 110 in a 55. Got a ticket for 70 in a 55 and a 45 minute lexture.
When the officer asked me if I knew how fast I was going I told him No, My speedo only goes to 85.

Ok, I guess I'll bite here..Back when i had the Mustang (5.0), it felt like I got pulled every other day..At one point, I had about -17 Points on my License and had to go in for the "personal Interview"...

I got stopped 11 times in my '70 Charger before I got my first ticket. I didn't gripe too much even though I could have got out of it,  because I definitely deserved it at that point.

I never got a ticket while driving any of my own cars which is kind of odd considering I probably should have gotten dozens over the years. I got an illegal passing one while in my sister's Dart, one speeding in my wife's car, & several speeding in a delivery van back in college. None were for excessive speeds, they were all less than 10 to 15 MPH over in a 50 or a 55 zone.

I've only gotten out of one ticket in all the years I've been driving since 1980, & that was the one & only time I was stopped by a female state trooper for doing 40 in a 30. I simply told her the truth, which was that my jackass boss told me I had to get the route done faster or I'd be in trouble, so I was trying to. Guess she felt sorry for me & let me go.

Or it may have been my good looks & natural charm.  :D

Never been caught speeding, which is an honest-to-god miracle. I have had a few disagreements with the Swedish police department though.
Last time was... "interesting".
I was driving home from work in the summer in my latest commuter bucket, an '84 Volvo 244. Leaned on that thing as hard as I could, picked out a nice road in the country side with plenty of "challenging" sections and tried to beat my own time almost every day. You know what I'm talking about...
So there I am. Friday afternoon, work is done and I just want to get home. Revving that poor 2.3 to valve float, downshifting from fifth into third while squealing my way into a blind turn and everything is just perfect, you know?
The only problem is, halfway through there was a car parked. In the middle of the road.
Locked all four wheels up, missed the car by about three feet, went over a lawn and got my heap stopped inches from a wrought-iron gate.
I look in the mirror, trying to swallow my heart and lungs back down again, and three very unpleasant facts become clear:
The car I almost clipped doing 50+ has blue rotating lights on the roof.
The doors are lettered SILOP (that would be ECILOP in english),
And stepping out of them are two very, very pissed off guys dressed in blue with pistols strapped to their belts.
The rest is sort of fuzzy, but I vividly remember one part of the conversation;

PO: How fast were you going?
Me: Don't know.
PO: How. Fast. Were. You. Going?
Me: I don't know!
PO: FOR F*CKS SAKE! The skidmarks are a HUNDRED FEET LONG. HOW FAST WERE YOU GOING?!
Me: Uhm... 50?

Let's just say I signed a "ticket" for reckless driving after a 30 minute discussion about my intelligence, sanity and driving aptitude. I'm still waiting for the district prosecutor to stuff my balls in a box for this little incident, amazed they haven't fined me yet...

Before I turned 19 I had 16 tickets and had things like "Exhibition Driving" (In a 72 Datsun pick-up?) Not wearing a helmet...in a 64 Nova? I even got pulled over for a bumper sticker on my Vega GT that said: WARNING: I SPEED UP TO RUN DOWN SMALL ANIMALS!(It's a joke) The best one was I had stayed up late to watch Jimmy Cagney in a gangster movie that ended with him dying in a hail of bullets yelling "You'll never get me copper's!!" the next day at a 4 way stop I pass a cop going the other way and (with the windows up) I said: You'll never get me copper's. He slammed on the brakes, turned on the lights and siren while doing a U turn and pulled me over. He hassled me for 30 minutes, gave me a bunch of crap till I told him to just write a ticket and I'll report his butt to his super and see him in court because I can SAY anything I want! (He "let me go")  :RantExplode: AHHH life in the 70's!

I got pulled over on Rt495 in Mass in 1980 in my RoadRunner by an unmarked cop.

Cop: "Do you know how fast you were going?"

Me: "80?"

Cop: "I was doing 80 and you passed me like I was standing still..."

Me: "uh...."

Cop: "Slow down and have a good night boys"

Good thing he didn't see the beer behind my seat.

Passing through a one "Barney", known speed trap town, I didn't realize the 35mph zone ended out in the cornfield.  With a straight wide open road though rural Ohio, at 8am on a Saturday, I went ahead and ran through the gears of the Dodge Laser Turbo Z.  With Jimmy Buffet blaring, I bounced the speedo off 85mph several times. My guess is about 105 mph.

In a few short miles, two 18 wheelers on just enough of a curve, made me shut it down.  That's when I looked in the mirror and saw the tiny flashing blue gumballs.  I pulled over fearing they belonged to the Ohio State Patrol, who would have launched a state-wide man hunt and executed me on the spot when I was caught.  You Ohio guys know what I'm saying.

I leaned on the front fender awaiting my upcoming incarceration.  I must have been white as a ghost.

It turned out to be Barney in a late 70's Chevy Caprice:

Me:      Good morning officer
Barney: Don't worry I can only cite you for 53 in a 35 - but I know you were going a lot faster than that.
Me:      yes sir

license run -ticket written (just south of $200 w/court costs)

Barney: Nice car.
Me:      Here's my card.  Stop in and I will sell you one.  (summer job selling dodges)

Barney: So how fast were you going, anyway?
Me:      'bout 85.
Barney: LOL.  Sure.

Barney: (Big got-your-ass-smile)  Slow down..and ..... Have A Nice Day!

Like it was "on que", the left rear tire of a Caprice.... EXPLODES!

Me:     (Big FU Smile) You too officer.

i was on my way home from dropping my wife [then girlfriend] off at home.  about a mile from my exit on the freeway. i decided to blow the carbon out of my charger looked down the highway didn't see any one   put my foot to the floor  looked to my left tucked in behind the bridge was a county cop    i lifted my foot and coasted down  the off ramp and waited for him around the corner when he pulled up the first thing he said was this is your lucky day  i thought it would take me 3 miles to catch you.  so when started after you i hit the gas so hard it thew the radar unit off the dash and it unplugged. he said i had you clocked at 98 in a 55 when he plugged it back in it only 25  he told me to have a nice night

Buddy of mine was following in a 70 SS camaro. We stop side by side at the next light reving the engines, ready to go for it,when we hear"both of u pull over".Sure enough
it was a U.S. marshall. How many people have been pulled over by a U.S. marshall? We'll after about a half hour of lecture he says "I should give you two a ticket" After that it
was all "yes sir ,no sir".Another half hour of lecture and we were let go after promising we would never do it again. :nana:
