trunk light issues

ok guys, first the trunk light would not go on, now it's on will not turn off when trunklid is down (pressing switch)hat do you think is wrong?  Thanks John

The switch is a ground. Do you have a wrong bulb in it that might be getting its own ground?
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

bulb should be a #90 or #1004 style....anything else is wrong. Is tab bent down too far not allowing trunk to push the pin enough to disconnect ground connection?
