Any ideas on where to get a replacement trunk key. I am thinking about going to the Dodge dealer with the VIN but not sure if that will work. I am not even positive that is the original trunk. Maybe a whole new latch and key from a junk yard? :shruggy:

Thanks,

Go in through the back seats, pop the trunk, and just bring the whole thing to a locksmith to make a key for ya.

I agree with FLG, take the back seats out, reach in with a 1/2 box end wrench and back out the bolts on the latch bar. You will need a 1 1/4 " socket to remove the cylinder from the deck lid. I had to do this the other day on a parts car I have because of not having any keys, better than popping out the cylinder and messing up the deck lid.

just a question... is your glove box with keys ?

from factory and if never replaced any of both the glovebox uses same matched key to trunk. Maybe will be easier to remove the glove box latch and make the key from there

I just purchased a new lock and key from yearone for about 19 bucks. That might be cheaper than getting a locksmith...   :Twocents:
