We all know that black looks awesome, but stuffed if I'd have one.
Way too much hard work keeping it looking awesome.

Car looks great mate.

I only wash my car once a year..................whether it needs it or not!  :icon_smile_big:

Now I want one... Not much on E-bodies
But that's cool. Time to watch VP again...

For some reason "Cooter Dodge" is busting me up :smilielol:

I've always had a special fondness for E-bodies, in particular  '70/'71 Cuda's   :yesnod:

I was wondering how you were coming along with this one.   :popcrn:

I've NEVER swapped the T-bars in ANY of the cars i've built. Ever. For one reason or another, I decided to try out MP Biggest bars "RB and Hemi. Improved handling"...Lemme just say even without the engine in the car, I can tell they are stiffer. I measured my old bars(318) and these are only about .090 bigger, but .090 must be one helluva lot when talking T-bars. Car is stiff now. Before i could at least halfway bounce the front end with them all the way off and no engine. Now, It won't budge with them all the way backed off. Improvement I guess. Won;t know till I throw some pavement at this thing when I finally get the engine together.

Also, Got a set of Laser cut Subframe conn. From a good friend on the CC.com board i no longer am a member of, "Brads70". Met him at Carlisle two years ago and was one helluva nice guy. I finally got 'em in Brad if you's seein' this. (Thanks Buddy!)...Welding upside down SUCKS!

Also, I usually just weld up my own homemade exhaust. This time I saw what the Magnaflow system looked like on my cousin's Camaro I'm doing and decided to try out one for the E-body...Well, One side fit great, the driver's side not so well. Ray Charles musta been bending the tailpipes. Got a little "Happy" with the bender and there's too much angle heading out to the tip, but you can't really tell with the car on the ground. Also, got my PYPES tips. VERY nice and fit SNUG!
Had to actually beat them onto the 2 1/2" Stainless pipes. All in all, been a fun few weeks.

Glad to hear your making some headway.  Keep up the good work :2thumbs:

Man, those welds on the frame look  :scratchchin:
A hose clap on the exhaust tips won't work.  I do applaud you for doing it yourself. That means something.

1. Again....Welding upside down SUCKS...Remember though, a "Pretty" weld isn't ness. strong and a strong weld isn't nessesarily "Pretty".
2. "Also, got my PYPES tips. VERY nice and fit SNUG!

Hose clamps are only there to hold tips to hangers, and yes they will work as I've been running them for over 20 years without problems.

I'm not going to be one to argue with success, are you? :2thumbs:

ACUDANUT

Nope can't throw stones here. Again "I do applaud you for doing it yourself. That means something ".

Cooter

Course, that still don't mean the welds don't look like chit though...

And having worked as a welder, doing it upside down does suck.

Cooter

Update: Engine and 4 gear is in...Gotta get some pictures...Been busy, yes, even on my B-day.

Progress pics.

Exhaust from Magnaflow I bought didn't fit worth a damn for those looking for a true bolt on kit. Header hook up was "Challenging" to say the least for a bolt on kit.

No, but I did notice the size of that rear sway bar, you are obviously planning to make this corner as well.

JB400

Sorry, I don't have a four speed, so I didn't catch it. :2thumbs:  Try a slider, or a curveball. :nana:

Not me................my mind is elsewhere.

Well as I get older and the more I do this, the more I want to see what all the fuss is about. I know when I get out of Christine and into the General, the GL is ALOT more fun to drive. (Factory BB Car). I decided I'd try to see if I could make this one handle a little better than it did with the 318 and no sway bars at all.

Also upgraded to a 1" front bar as well, but isn't here yet. Also Got the biggest T bars I could from Mopar Perf. (RB and Hemi Improved handling).

What are you planning on running for wheels and tires?
