I don't care what is is designed to do,I want to know what it can do.

is your motor built for nitrous? such as larger ring gap, cam, etc?

westcoastdodge

hi there 68chargerboy  yes it is built for nitrous, just seems to be the jet sizes that are confusing  :scratchchin:

ray,
let me assume you are running this on a carb setup and it is a wet kit? if thats the case the fuel supply jet should be bigger then the nitrous jet

Ray I have the book From NOS somewhere that tells which "pill" is which...I would NOT go mixing and matching jets (Pills) if you like you engine to keep all 8 pistons...How much are you Bombin'? I had a 340 bored over .060 once in HS and successfully bombed 275 HP on it...Is your kit a Big Shot plate kit, or a Cheater kit?

Have you ever sprayed before? If not, the first thing I'd do was get the lowest setting usually around 150 HP and bomb it..Then, pull over imediately and pull a plug to see how it's burning...If you see white specs, you need more fuel..I like mine to burn "Turkey Turd Brown"...Remember to back off your timing around 2 degrees for every 75-100 HP increase...

I know the "rule" is to use the larger on the fuel than the nitrous. But around here the guys who do nitrous right operate on these rules with great results.
1. switch the jets (use the smaller nitrous jet on the fuel and the larger fuel jet on the nitrous). Gets an extra 20+ hp out of the kit
2. verify, check, and recheck your mixture to make certain you run rich and your timing is set.

There are a few of the Mopar folks around here who have been doing that and sprayed all the way down the track for hundreds of pulls.
