Sorry Lee. I won't speak on the behalf of this site  because I am too new here. But they are just a bunch of folks like you and me that like these cars and will bend over backward to help another with a problem. What they are not is an online/on call source for road side service. They/ we have lives and this is a hobby. Just hang on a bit---go get a beer.
Maybe I did speak on behalf of this site :P

the coupler falls apart from the seal from what I read there is a modified C-clamp like to keep it all in, but the person does not make it anymore.  Alot of folks dont rebuild their coupler due to the fact once you break it open its hard to keep the coupler closed again it just opens up over and over.....

I realize its not road side assistance but the last 5 times I posted on here I either have been made fun of or no answer at all

hmm...ok man like I said the seal comes off you gonna have to modify it and YES its hard to get back in folks have said this.  I did a search on it....... ::)

Yes I figured out its telescoping so I took it all apart and going to tack weld the rod so it doesn't telescope again getting it back together is the easy part just use big channel lock pliers and had my wife push on it when I was squeezing it together at the bottom to go back into the gear box

Sorry no one responded, just one of those frustrating bits, helps to have some one behind the wheel when your trying clamp those tabs tight, getting back to your earlier comment, are you sure your putting it together right, the slides can easily be put on incorrect, helps to have a factory manual handy
