Anyone ever try using a bit of silicone on the inside of the upper radiator hose to seal it to the thermostat housing?   :shruggy:

I find Permatex (the red stuff that never dries) smeared lightly on both surfaces and given 15-20 minutes (to set) before sliding on the hose works way better than silly-cone!

I think it's Permatex #2 ?

have done that in the past , not on the charger though , forget what i used but one of the instant gaskets from locktite ,

Thanks for the suggestions!

Its one of those "fix one thing & another thing breaks" kinda deal....antifreeze in the winter on a car that hasnt been started since November '09 has a way of leaking FROM EVERYWHERE!  (where it never leaked before....) :rotz:
