What do you guys perfer, white letters tires or no white letters?

to be honest  , RWL look ok , but would rather  just black tires , although ,  would have Goodyear RWL

Kinda reminds me ofthe fad way back when the import guys put those 12"-13" tires on rims that had all the offset pushing them out the side of car fenders roller skate like.

I usually dont like white letters showing, every now and then I see a wheel/tire combo and think it looks good with the RWL's out, but for the most part I like black tires. When I bought my 73  it had a new set of Cragers with Futura RWL tires, it looks ok, but when the tires get replaced, It won't have RWL's showing. (don't want to pay to have my tires broke down/re-mounted and balanced.)

Another 'pet peeve' of mine too, is that shiney shit that goes on tires. Anywhere you have a car cleaned (even some that do it themselves) spray tire dressing to make the tires shine. I just like clean/dry tires on any vehicle. Tire dressing looks so tacky.

I agree with the fact that the tires should not have that greasy look to them but more of a natural rubber shine like new.  Ive found that there is a product out there that protects the rubber and gives it a natural shine, almost a low gloss shine.  I want to say the brand or the product is called No Touch but I will have to double check it.  I found it at Walmart, PepBoys, etc.  It is not greasy or will not ruin your tire brushes as with stuff like Black Magic Tire Wet and Meguiars Tire shine, they have the coating come off and stick to the tire brush making the brush useless.

Not only that but have you seen what RWL tires look like after a few miles with that crap on? The RWL looks more like RBL after awhile...nasty. Never EVER put it on!

Just some soapy Brillo on the RWL tires and it gets em nice and clean.

I wish I had a pic, but I've got bf goodrich on the charger, white letters in on the front, and white letters out on the rear, kinda gives it an old school drag racer look.

To me it's all depends on the wheel, size & car color combo.

New member over @ the Registry posted his white car.  I think it looks great w/ no rwl's showing.  Also notice the drums are painted body color.  I used to do that too, learned if from my Father.

yea...it's a 4spd car, with dual quads, actually, both my 66 Chargers are factory 4spd cars.  The cream 66 is still mostly original

I have RWL on the Duster. Before I had blackwall tires. The Charger will be getting low profile tires with no white letters.

I like RWL Or the RYL on some cars. Just plain black wall tires are ok on most cars. I hate the outlined white letter tires.
