I believe it is A4 (EA4) which was a full size color for '70.  I think it was on ebay (unrestored) about 10 years ago, from the same area.

999 is the code for Silver.....in 1970 Silver was a special order color....

The color on that car is correct.

Frank (Spike) has a beautiful 999 R/T :drool5:

oh right  999 is silver

999 doesn't necessarily mean it was a Silver car. It does however seem that silver was the popular 999 code as of yet.

The car was painted by the previous owner a few years back. He said he was going to bring it to The Nats, but I never saw pictures of it there. Cool car and although a little pricey, it's a rare '70 Charger. It's probably worth the cash considering the rarity )if you ask me). That same seller has the Charger built right after mine. Repop fender tag, but still cool knowing it's out there.

Spike

It is A4 silver.

Sold the fueler wheels. I only had two for the back and two more for the front were a little too pricey for me. I have had it at Carlisle with rallyes on.

K00193 on the tag what does the k mean

Most likely it means Y39/Special order which would make sense with the 999 paint code.
Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.

Alaskan_TA

Exactly.

Also, 999 paint could be ANY color paint that the customer wanted that was not advertised as available on that model - as long as it was commercially available at the time.

:yesnod: K is for Special Order, and if you look at the top of the tag you will see Y39 stamped. Sort of crushed but it's there.
