May seem like a stupid question but what is the purpose of the F & the E on the valve cover oil cap. I always wondered why they stamped that on the thing.

Anyone know? :scratchchin:

I think it means Full or Empty. I've seen some oil caps that have "710" stamped on them too. :shruggy: Weird.

The f & e have to do with the company that stamped them but I do not remember the name.  :scratchchin:

Just be happy you have the original F E cap... :2thumbs:...whatever the letters represent.  They usually were changed over the years.

The F & E Company. it all makes sense now. Fill this up....get on it and soon it will be empty. lol

think I will now have to go out and ablige those fine words of wisdom.
