My clutch went out on me the other day and I decided to go ahead and fix my transmission too while I replace the pressure plate or whatever went wrong. I have no books to follow on the step by step proceedures to remove the tranny. Tonight I took off the speedometer cable, and reverse electrical line to the tranny, I then removed the driveshaft, and shifter handle. I removed the four bolts from the tranny to the bell housing and then the crossmember. As I was trying to pull out the tranny it seems to not want to come all the way out. Is there anything that I am forgeting or should it be stuborn to pull. I've pulled auto's before but never a 4 speed. I also need some input on the clutch package too. Thanks, Steven

If you just removed the handle, and the shifter mechanism is still on the trans, you will need to rotate the trans about 90* for linkage to clear tunnel hump.

A service manual would be your best friend here, I would suggest investing in one if you are going to be working on car, especially electrical

Rotated the tranny earlier, did not come. Do I have to do anything with the throwout bearing or clutch or should it pull through all of that?
