Took the "A" Body plunge.

Drove my 72 Dart Swinger home Sunday from Ohio.  It's in pretty good shape.  It's a /6.  I'll be pulling the 440,727 and 489 center section, out of my 73 Charger and stuffing them in the Dart. Will be a fun project. Here's a pic of the Swinger.

I love A-Bodies!  I have 2-a 50K mile 73 Duster with a /6 and 3 on the tree that gets an honest 26 mpg.   That is until I swap in the 340 and 4 speed I have for it    And a 68 Valiant that Im swapping a 360 Magnum into right now.    

That 72 Dart is gonna be an animal with a 440, just dont make any turns!

Take it from one who has a BB A-body Stroker...The only thing that makes this swap a PITA is on mine, I had to drill holes through the floorboard to get the bellhousing bolts out, starters with FULL length headers are always fun, Swapping plugs in it is loads of fun, as is swapping trans's....


But you will LOVE the 440 in an A-Body....Just make sure you have a Good Tire Sponsor...
