From a older post this shows the photo shoot location used in 76 street machine magazine.The off green daytona a old Jim Radke car it was also in one of the street machine magazines..Just got to find it I know its the same car

on the last picture.  That is me as a kid and my sister shannon on the driveway...  Man, that was over 30 years ago..

Dave,  When was the last time you saw Gene?  I have not seen Gene McRiley in some 30 years.  WOW..   I loved this car.   Everyone thinks it is Lou Whitfields...

was that Magnum Force bird in another car mag along with a story about the rear sway bar he installed being the best $30 he ever spent and started track racing the car after getting clocked at a very high speed in the desert and only a passing frieght train foiling his escape?
I haven't seen that mag in a lifetime but thought it was THE COOLEST write up on the coolest car!

No You are thinking of Lou Whitfields Superbird.   The train stoped him somewhere around Bakersfield CA.  The Magnum Force is Gene McRiley..

What does the lettering say inside of the quarter panel scoops?      I forgot he had cut the rear wheel openings too.   Nice photo!

The green bird in the photo belongs to Rick Edwards.It was 2200 miles, with three kids in the back seat to get there. Put 6300 miles on the bird in 3 weeks and used 490 gal of gas.Oh what a trip. Rick

Hay Dave,   Yea that is a great shot.   I will have to go steel the photo album from my dad.   Funny thing Dave is remember we both had cameras. (you and I)    That was funny about the same photos we have but at a little different angle.  Nobody is going to understand what we are talking about...lol

I remember a few wing cars around Los Angeles from the 70's and up. The green 440 limelight bird in La Crescenta.
One in Tujunga Ca that surfaced recently.
I heard of one Hemi Daytona (Gilbert Tar KB car?)that sat next to a mobile home off the I-5 north of LA for years. Owner wouldn't take less than 20 k for it at the time. At least a couple of birds in the san fernando valley..one with a fuzz interior and pop up sunroof..I believe it threw a rod and was sold to some surfers who proceeded to street race it, could have been purple with a white interior and 3 exhaust pipes...
