Anyone know source for aftermarket hood hinge springs. Something that will hold up fiberglass hood but softer than stock.

This might sound funny but my body guy used springs from a trampoline. I had him paint a 69 RR with a fiberglass 6pak hood and the springs that came with the hood were way too strong. The trampoline springs work great. I guess his kids were grown up but the trampoline was still around so he robbed it for parts.
