No, but my wife was given an old 1950's style refrigerator once for an apartment she had. It worked good, but one side was all covered with surface rust, & the rest looked old & worn. She spent an afternoon sanding it down & then repainted it with an enamel for metal. Just brushed it on, nothing complicated. It looked decent & held up for years until we bought our house & gave it to someone. She painted it that dull wedgewood blue to match the Rubbermaid drainboard in the sink. If you wanted a smoother finish I suppose spraying it would help.
