Team USA put up hell of a fight right to the end but Canada won it in O.T.

Congratulations to team Canada.  :2thumbs: Heck of an Olympics for sure and some real good Hockey and Curling(that's all I watched)

My little sister is absolutely livid right now and is not your friend. Her and I are huge Washington Caps fans, always have been.
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

You guys in the U.S. I'm sure haven't seen this commercial but it is very appropriate right now. (in case you can't read the sign in the back ground, they are at U.S. Customs)

We gave them a helluva fight, even took it into overtime, but they won it fair and square. They deserve to party hard. Aboot time to have a Labatt on us, eh?

Congrats to both teams....one of the best games i've seen in a long time. It could have gone either way.   :yesnod:

The US squad has a lot of up and coming young stars which bodes well for their future Olympic hopes.   :2thumbs:

Not if the NHL and Olympic Committee don't put an agreement together for the next Olympics. From what I've seen on the sports channels and in the paper that is going to be a tough negotiation. We may have just seen the last Olympics with NHL stars.

bull

I think it should return to amateur competition anyway. Pros competing was fun for a while but I think it's taken a lot of the interest out of it for me.

DC_1

If the NHL players don't return it takes away from the meaning of the Olympics to me. That is, to have the best athletes your country has competing with the other best in the world. To not send them we would be watching the "not quite good enough to make it" players because the NHL is the league where the gifted end up.
