I used to love comic books. After every one in print caught the "Superman 75 syndrome", I was done with them.
Imagination was given to man to compensate him for what he is not;  a sense of humor to console him for what he is.      Francis Bacon

WANT TO BUY:
Looking for a CD by  'The Sub-Mersians'  entitled "Raw Love Songs From My Garage To Your Bedroom"

Also, any of the various surf-revival compilation albums this band has contributed to.
Thank you,    Kenny

I used to have to sneak comic books into the house tucked in my back under my shirt.   Most kids did that with porn but I had to do it to read comics. I snuck out and bought comics although not usually superhero and read them behind the local 7-11 and then had to come up with an excuse for how I spent my allowance so she would never know.
My mom trashed any comic book she got her hands on. I wonder what they would be worth now?

Of course my mom also made mommy dearest look like June Cleaver.

Burn in hell bitch!!   :flame: :flame:

Sorry..........

commics books huh?  I would sneek in the PORN

Wow; it is almost like we had the same mother!

Sounds like my wicked great aunt...she would literally THROW my toys away and then tell my parents that she has no idea what toys I was talking about. When we moved out of town in '78 we had to store all our stuff in Great Grandmas garage for a few months. She went in there and threw my entire Hotwheels collection away while we were gone. I had EVERY model in almost every color back then from 1968 on up...about 500 total. I figure she ows me about $35K according to ebay vaues...friggin HAG!

Now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical,
      a liberal, oh fanatical, criminal.
Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're
acceptable, respectable, oh presentable, a vegetable!

I collected Groo and stopped buying them when it went from $1.00 to $2.25..screw that. Now I  get Godzilla comics when I see them, the old school one, whenever something new comes out.

As far as paying for your kids college I hope you stored them properly. you should know condition is the KEY factor in value.

My collection numbers around 400 but most were just stuff to read, I did grab a few to flip for profit.

250? Sounds a bit light to me. Or maybe I'm too fat 'cause I don't think I have 20 lbs on him.

Bagged and boarded. I was a Marvel guy. I have complete run into the early 80's of several, Capt America, Avengers...

In the late 70's I started buying multiple copies on the X-Men books starting at about 100. Picked up Giant Size #1 for a buck. It's booking for $1500 right now.

No, that was Gimlee and he was a Dwarf...get your middle earth decoder ring and dictionary out and get your lore straight. :icon_smile_tongue: He's talking about the big, ugly cave trolls...larger than human, gray skin, smelly and quite stupid.
