top gear is the best show on tv    ,NOW I HAVE SO MUCH MORE RESPECT for hammond

Well I don't care what his name is, what he said was disrespectful and the way he said it as well.
:smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:  you are taking him way to seriously , he is more of a comedian then a car expert , thats why i love the show so much .

All I'm going to say here, is just wait to someone mocks your show like that or the show what man the vehicle that the dude is driving so well known and then see how you feel then on it.

Now if he hadn't cough when he said it I would over look it BUT it's the way he coughted and looked when he said IT.  Comedian or Not, that was down right disrespectful of him.
The Dukes was a ok show when i was 12.

Mike DC

Whatever.

Nobody would expect him to get through reviewing a 1977 Trans Am without making a Burt/Bandit remark or two.  It would be par for the course to make some wisecracks even if he basically liked the movie.

Dukes is polarizing for Charger fans.  Nothing new about that.

I liked chargers before the DOH and I think the car was an icon before the show and would still be an icon if the show had never happened . But i do understand that there is a great following of the show and the car. I just dont have your same passion for DOH but i can respect that you do and that others are rabid fans .  :Twocents:

Agreed.  DOH did a lot to help continue the iconic status of the car but the TV show certainly didn't create it.  Bullitt, NASCAR, and DMCL had already put years of work into that process by 1978.

Not to mention everyone who owned a Charger in the real world.

depressing, a beautiful car with a garbage chev in it.

you can't really argue with him on any points he made of the car. other than looks, ride, power, the car is a POS. and i still love my POS.
