I almost just killed a young girl...

I'm heading to a friends place... I'm waiting to turn into his condo driveway on my left. A mini van is waiting to pull out and traffic is coming towards me, so neither me OR the van can move.. No problem.. Until the van decided to pull out. A White Toyota Corolla was coming right towards me. A young (16-17) year old girl was driving. She was screaming. Her hands were blocking her eyes. My trains horns were BLASTING (at the mini van, not her). He just pulled out and kept going. She sat there sobbing, after missing me by no more than 3"... I went to get out to make sure she was ok, because I felt really bad... She flew away thinking I was probably mad at her... I wasn't... She was horrified.. I swear if I got my hands on the a-hole driving the mini van I would have killed him, literally... It was not a good site... All I kept thinking is she would have gone right under my truck, and that it could have been my daughter.... I seriously hate people some times... I'm going to go back looking for that guy, because my buddy thinks he knows where the guy lives, in the complex.

i dont follow, where did the mini-van pull out from?  behind you and then around you into oncomming traffic?

Sorry...

I was on a two lane road, about to turn left into the complex. I was sitting waiting for traffic to let up so I could turn in. The Mini-van was pulling out of the condo complex, out into the direction I was facing.  He pulled out, causing the girl he pulled right in front of to swerve towards the front end of my truck, and he swerved around her passenger's side and flew away.

If I read what jeff said right, the minir van was blocking or in his road to turn into his friend's place. That is why Jeff was waiting for. The mini van was going to go the other way (?) that Jeff came from but they had traffic (?) coming so they both was waiting. The mini van waited to the one vehicle was closer then pulled out in front of everyone almost cousing a wreck. Making the young woman almost hit Jeff. Well that is what I understand from reading what Jeff said anyways.

All I read was... go find that idiot and kick his ass for being a douchebag.   :icon_smile_blackeye:
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Ok guys, first off, I don't need an influx of people coming to me looking to design their next house.. or expressing their jealousy for my mega-PAINT talents..

This took all of 30 seconds, but it's a Hell of a lot easier than trying to explain it...

Here's the whole story, in stick-figure land!

Love the art Jeff! What a dick!

BTW why does he have a roof, you have mirrors, and she has an see through car?? Just curious

jb666

Thanks for recognizing true artistic talent, Frank.

They aren't mirrors, those are the direction my tires were facing.

She's see-through because her car was cool.

And he's got a roof cause mini-vans are cool as ice!!

Thanks for the visual aids, I can see from it that A hole was the one thet allmost killed a young girl. Not Me.

Don't feel bad, at least nobody got hurt.

Best thing you can do is vent a little on here and be done with it. Not worth tracking this guy down and starting something at this point as its a bit late.

Jeff, for what it is worth, when I read your original thread I understood what happened. But I enjoyed the artwork.  :D

Yep, I would go back, find the guy, and have a serious talk with him.

That is almost exactly what happened to my daughter with her freshly painted (go green) Aspen. She was the 16 year old in your scenario, he pulled out  in a 70s dodge truck she hit him hard enough to spin the truck around and total the aspen. she was fine though extremly mad as sh has spent her summer (sanding and working on car) and only had it out of paint 2 weeks. He had no license the truck had expired out of state plates. My daughter could not figure out why they did not arrest him (I had to explain best I could that most time laws are applied to law abiding people, the law breakers do not care about inurance and laws.

I couldn't let it go... After work tonight, I found out exactly where he lived... Needless to say I'm about an hour late getting home... And he's probably wondering WTF he did since he kept saying "Who the Hell are you and how do I know you?". Jackass..

Now I'll let it rest... I'd hope that someone would do the same for my daughter if that ever happened. I also hope he has good health (and glass) insurance.

I'm outa here, gotta go hit the treadmill and work some of this adrenaline off..

:scratchchin:   Well, we need to see a picture of your daughter...    :shruggy: :smilielol:

It's sad but true with some girls and the way they drive.   I know it WAS NOT her in the wrong but, covering her eyes is a no no.   I was in a car with a girl back in hi skool that did the same thing once.   I had to reach over and grab the wheel to keep from going off the road.   :rotz:
I hope this nut learned a lesson.

I hope he did too.. I'm quite certain he did. I know I certainly have no patience for this sort of thing.. You want to be an idiot, by all means don't let me stop you, just don't go endangering lives doing it.. I couldn't imagine living with myself if my carelessness took the life of a young person.

jb666, I know how you feel, years ago had two people pull something similar. One older lady passed me with oncoming traffic,no room for her to pull back in. Had to slam on the brakes to let her in, followed her to her house, asked wtf she was doing. She said it would have been my fault if I did not let her back in traffic. Next time guy ran a stop sign almost T-boned me, followed him to his house got out & talked to him. :RantExplode:. Told them both that the next guy you piss off may not just talk to you.

A similar thing happened to me in the Charger. I was driving down the highway in the right lane and there was a should on the right to get up to speed and stuff. At about 60mph and this idiot in a blue Audi A4 pulls out right from a parking lot, doesn't ride the shoulder at all, and goes right into my lane. So I have to slam on my brakes and lay on the horn, they lock up and I just miss hitting him, luckily I just adjusted the brakes earlier that day. Im mad as hell so I pull up beside him with my hand still on the horn and this prick is just laughing. I wish I could have followed him home.
