when my headlights are on my left hood blinker flickers, I've exhausted my efforts to isolate the short or whatever it is, any suggestions? thanks

I had a similar issue. Cleaned up all the grounds, cleaned up all the bulb sockets, heck even replaced all the bulbs...and it went away.

mjwebb

I did all of the above to no avail...it's been doing it since I got it a year ago, thanks

It's not a "short" as you call it....it's a poor ground or a missing ground from either the headlight bucket area, the parking light area, or a bad ground wire.....what you are seeing is a voltage feedback through the front turn signal wire.

mjwebb

the left front fender side marker doesn't work...is that a good place to focus on, contributing factor or possible root cause? I'm terrible with electrical stuff...about ready to just take it somewhere.......thanks again

TylerCharger69

Oh yes....id start there.....I've learned...that on my 69...if a bulb goes out in the amber parking lights or the tail lights,  that side hood blinker light stays on as an indicator that there is a faulty bulb

mjwebb

great, thanks! I can tear engines apart, all my dirt bikes, harleys, boats, etc...but dang I feel like such a doughball when it comes to electrical!
