I made mention about him starting threads that had already been covered a few times (yes I know, I'm guilty of that in the past). I was mainly refering to the "Lets see some before and after pictures of your Charger restoration" thread but I don't know my comment directly caused him to leave? If it did, then that's pretty odd but? :shruggy:

Way to go Cody.  ;) :icon_smile_big:  You were not rude about it, just honest.  He just needed to hit the search button and the same threads he started have been done several times before.

It really is hard to tell if you've pissed off somebody on a forum or not, when they just up and leave like this...

Too many have a "Keyboard Cowboy" mentality when they know full and well, if they were face to face with said person they would NOT in a million years, say what they posted on the forum...With all this said, if people would simply police themselves a little harder and look at their posts to make sure that there's any  possible way that it could be considered inflamatory....We really do not know who we are dealing with...This is not only here, it is on Every forum I'm a member of..For the most part, most of you guys are pretty cool to a newbie like myself..However, there are those that I prefer to just not reply to...Too many want ot be the "Alpha Dog" in the conversation and this almost never works...IMO, there's a way to say something on a forum and not piss anyone off. All you have to do is post as you were talking to your boss at work...

Respect, maturity and a sincere desire to help and/or contribute. This "one up-manship" crap is just that IMO.

They have been changed back because a few of the topics were pretty active.

Seems as though in one of his last topics someone told him to "stop" posting so many topics & he took a little offense to the comment.

Oh well, I guess his internet skin wasn't thick enough to man up about it.   no harm, no foul....carry on....nothing to see here

I was chatting with him and MoparManJim, a few nights back, turns out he lives pretty close to MidPenMopars (AKA Stu) and just a few miles south from me,  I have seen his B-5 Blue and white '70 383 around for a few years...
I think what happened was he found the site and just started posting without doing any searches or really introducing himself to anyone... Or posting any photos...

his second thread states:

"Thank you very much my Charger brothers! This website is excellent. My first car when I was 16 was a blue 68 white hat special with a 383 magnum. The car was fully restored...I must have polished that thing 1 million times and no car in school could even touch me. I loved that car, but I sold it. I have always loved Chargers ever since seeing my brother pulling up in his forest green 69 when I was like 4 years old. I am currently restoring a 70 383 big block numbers matching car. It was such a big relief to get another Charger. Every time I would see a Charger on the road or in the movies, I would kick myself in the pants for selling my other one. What an empty feeling that was. It was like seeing your x prom queen girlfriend from high school years later, but now she is a movie star and you are like, wow....how did I let that get away from my life?  "

So I thought it strange he'd take the xx29440 moniker when he doesn't actually have one,.. so I asked him about it and found out he never read the thread (Santa Cruz Cruise) he was posting in,..
So I suggested he actually read the thread. I was very nice to him really - figuring I should give him the benifit of a doubt - so I was actually quite polite...  :-\ Not my normal A&$ H)!@ ^&*$) smart aleck Mr Know it all self You guys are so enamored of...                :D
That's the last I saw of him...  :shruggy:
 then,..

well, if that was the worst that happened to him.. between what you had stated and what cody stated.. maybe he is just an extremely sensitive feller who doesnt understand the overall climate/environment of this here board of nutsos?

Well, as the New Guy is not around, and we are already off-topic, "The Nine Billion Names of God" was already a short story so it was well within my attention span.  :icon_smile_wink: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Nine_Billion_Names_of_God. Authur C. Clarke had a gift.
