Much thanks to RD and his advice/expertise.
I always had a slight hesitation in drive during the first start up of the day. He explained to me the transmission and to try starting it neutral. In neutral, parking brake applied or foot brake applied the hesitation is no longer there when placed in reverse or drive.
I thought I would post this tid bit of information in case someone else experiences this.
