Painting the lettering on vent cables

Has anyone got any tips on how to paint the white lettering on the vent cables, parking brake etc

Easy.
Use white enamel paint on a skinny brush. Then take a rag mildly dampened with reducer & give it a wipe. The white paint will stay in the recessed letters.

Did it with my emergency brake handle....works like a charm!
