Buying and Selling parts... profittable...

Well guys - I am convinced that buying and selling parts is a good thing...         

My latest score was a 69 Road Runner hood I found on Craigslist...    I ended up driving about 80 miles to pick it up...    but it is fairly straight (some dents but nothing major) and came with the hinges, latch, and secondary catch...       

Total cost: $100.00 + $25.00 in gas...          Not bad considering I sold my old 69 RR hood for $350.00 and was in similar condition 


I also recently purchased some brake calipers and ended up not needing them...     purchase price $318.00...      Sold them today for $700.00 

I guess I am just patient enough to get the good deals.

I'm sure anybody who runs an auto salvage yard could probably tell you the same thing.
I used to junk cars as a past-time. Often, I'd get cars for free, just to get rid of them.
I'd gather the good parts in my garage and wait until the next car show or flea market.
I'd bring a table, a couple of lawn chairs and maybe a few ground sheets.
On a bad day I'd make $2000.

On the downside, that cruise control system for a Charger, that tic-toc-tach, and those original Hemi valvecovers I had...I wouldn't mind having back!
