A friend of mine came over and helped me get the ol' girl back on her feet after four years of languishing.

That got me all ginned up to get her washed.

After getting bitten and stung by a black wasp, and then by fire ants, while performing that superhuman task (that a lot of sheet metal!), here's the results:

These pix are from when I took her over to his place to get the A/C working:

He also turned me onto this stuff called Never Dull.

His teenage son used it to work over the front and rear bumpers, givin' 'em that sweet shine.

I like the big boats also.  :2thumbs: Yours looks great for resting four years. And the neverdull is some great stuff, have used it for decades.
From brass polishing in ROTC to chrome on my cars.  ;D Never occurred to me that some people had not discovered it yet.

She was lucky, and had herself a spot under the carport, which saved her from Rita and Ike damage.

A good wash and she's back to 20 footer status.  :D

Funny thing about the Imperial is that she gets more looks than the Charger it seems.

As for the Never Dull, I'm just happy I finally know about it.

Worked on my '70 Charger's steering wheel too.

Thanks for the comments guys!

That car is sweet! I have thought about selling one of the chargers and finding an old Mopar Boat to drive. There just arent many around.

Thanks, Todd!

Yeah, they get a lot of attention, and are a blast to just cruise around in.  :coolgleamA:

But, I'm finding out real quick that Ma MoPar went a little nuckin' futs with the complications in regards to A/C & heater controls though.  :brickwall:

What kind of MPG would that car get in town and long haul interstate driving?   I know where a 73 Fury 4 door is with a 400  that I have thought abuot getting for fun and use for a road car to aul the family when I travel.

Todd, haven't driven it enough to report on that yet.

It's a 440/4bbl w/727 & 3.23 rear so probably comparable to a Charger, or other similarly equipped MoPar (just a lot more of 'er).

I'm almost positive it's around a 1/4" short of 20'.

I do know she weighs more than my '85 F-250 Super Cab diesel.

Ford = 5100 #s, Imperial = 6300 #s!

I bought mine for $3800 in 2005, and I don't see many for sale anymore.

It's definitely a conversation starter, and will look sweet in double black with some 3" white walls. :coolgleamA:

Most of these went to the demolition derbies years ago... :brickwall:

I still get people asking to buy mine to run in the demos ::)
