2004 Ram pinion seal

I need to replace the rear pinion seal on my 2004 Ram 4x4 1500, yea its got a Hemi.  I think its is a 9 1/4 axle. Does it use the crushable preload spacer that needs to be replaced each time you take the companion flange off?

no you don't need to replace the crush sleeve. After removing driveshaft make a straight scribe mark on the pinion straight down onto the nut. Also count the visible threads to make sure you tighten the nut down all the way, and use the scibe mark as a final alignment mark.
