New bands seem to be bringing the sound back into rock. I strongly recommend these new bands if you never heard of them. This cd store in in the U.S., and I been a customer for about 10 years now. They do accept PayPal too.

GRAND DESIGN - Time Elevation (came out last fall). I finally bought it, and there are songs that seriously make you think Steve Clark is on guitar. If you read the link with sound samples, they even say they wanted to re-create that classic Leppard sound. Every song on this cd rocks, with one ballad. The best cd I bought in a few years. These guys are from Sweden I believe.

WILDSTREET - Wildstreet  These guys are out of Brooklyn, and look like a '80's punk rock band, but this cd definately has a very strong Def Leppard influance to it. There is one cool instrumental, and very well done re-make of "All The Young Dudes" on this album. I like all the songs on this cd.

Great sounding band!! I am really digging "Sad Sound Of Goodbye". It's a mix of Def Leppard with a slight vocal resemblance to The Eagles and Bryan Adams down low.. Good and raspy!! And then the Def Leppard Highs mixed with a little bit of WhiteSnake kick in there. I like it!!! Around the 3 minute mark I'd have sworn I was listening to Tesla or Boston!! Very tight.

Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed listening to this!!

I'm more into the "Stray Cat", old school Rock-n-Roll music...Don't get me wrong, today's music will never hold a candle to Quiet Riot's "Metal Health" (Bang Your Head)..This band sounds great! Good sound no doubt....

I'm with 'ya, need to bring back metal and good 'ol rock and Roll...

There is a young guy right now that's on You Tube right now....His name is Todd C. Morgan and the name of his band is "The Emblems"...

This guy can make you think "The Killer" himself was up on stage rattlin' them bones....His Version of "High Heel Sneakers" and "High School Confidential" Rocked! Hair bands get a bad rap today because of angry, young, males and females today..My kid was in kind of a High school wanna be band and got kicked out for mentioning anything remotely concerning 'ol school rock and roll...Even the names of the bands today are just horrid...

"Five For Fighting"? WTF? What happened to the "Cool" names?? Like "The Drifters", "Motely Crue", Black Sabbath", "Quiet Riot", Etc....
I blame Grundge bands for the demaise of fun rock and roll...Now, it's either a hidden drug use, beating/killing people/women, Or just completely off the wall music meanings....Don't even get me started on "Death Metal"...That rough, raspy, hollaring/screaming into the mike is NOT my thing...It is for angry, wanna be badass people that get all hicked up on it and want to kill/mame/destroy after listening to it...

Bring back the good time rock and roll and you see it will be just like the "Retro" cars of today..Who'da thunk they would sell looking just like the car design of 30 plus years ago....

I listen to this on-line German radio station all the time. And they play melodic hard rock from the '70s through today's melodic hard rock. And I never heard a repeat in the same day yet. I have heard of a lot of bands that I never heard of before, that play some serious good rock. They also play a lot of stuff they play here in the states too. You really don't hear much in German, except their local news (no commercials played), and a occasional song once in a while. But it's mostly in English. They even list the song being played, and the artist. I been doing a lot of searching Ebay for music lately
