I am at that point where I put the engine back into it's fresh bay and start reconnecting. Everything I have read so far says 68 AC resto is really expensive so I am considering just doing a cosmetic resto of the parts and leaving the AC non functional. I have all the parts and the car still has the Chrysler Air Temp decals on the window glass in good condition so I really would like to keep it. Anybody running this way?

I'm going to add factory AC to my 68. I even bought a firewall from an AC car. I may just use it as a template though instead of changing it out.

But that is partly the "allure" of our hobby. Things don't usually go right the first time we do them. But we get it done anyway.   :icon_smile_wink:

Chris, are you going to rebuild it yourself? Would be a nice thread to see.  :scratchchin:  :popcrn:

Yeah Im going to do the rebuild myself....done plenty of Q-Jets  before so it shouldnt be that hard....hardest part will be deciding if I want to go totally anal and get all the linkages plated or just  a nice paint job......

my accountant will probably agree with the latter....

Scott's "Da Man" on carbs for me now.  Great guy to work with, knows his stuff, tests his carbs after completion, etc. etc.
