Dinner with the wifes family Saturday and dinner with my family Sunday.

A small gift of a card and two pairs of heart pattern pajamas she saw a few weeks ago said she liked.

Well, since I am in extremely hot water lately with the wife, I had to pretty much go all out.  She has mentioned that she wanted a music box with the song 100 years by Five for Fighting http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9ThFhrwV-c  so no one makes that song in a music box.  Next thing I thought of was those recordable greeting cards which I adapted and recorded the song and then installed it into a jewelry box.  I also have a variety of flowers from 1-800 flowers being sent to her job to suprise her tomorrow.

Roses, chocolate and a card have already been delivered (thank you Pro-Flowers), and on Sunday we are going to the snow for the day (my apologies to those in the more frigid climes ). Taking the 2 German Shepherds also, the first time for the white one (I hope we don't lose him). Lunch and dinner wherever we want, and whenever we want. Just a day to relax as a family and enjoy each other.  :2thumbs:

I'm not so sure of that. Remember when Will Rogers said he never met a man he didn't like? Well my last ex-wife also, never met a man she didn't like.  :flame:

Well, wife got the flowers today since I had them delivered to her job and she was totally suprised.  On a down note, by the time she got the flowers home, 3 of the roses had started wilting and the petals almost falling off.  A call to 1-800 flowers and they are resending her another one on Monday to our house since I am off.  Also a $20 gift certificate for them too since it was their mistake.    Also, my wife told me yesterday that she booked a hotel for us out in the Lancaster / Hershey area for an over night thing and her sister will be watching our daughter so I am guessing I will be getting a little Bow-chenka-chenka this weekend also. :coolgleamA: :2thumbs:

Exactly what I was thinking but didn't have the guts to post it.

I think I might pawn the kids off on Grandma, who just joined us at my sister's place and see if I can't take the Mrs out for some one on one time at dinner. Maybe even see if we can get my sister and her husband to join us. Not sure if grandma will be up for that or not.  :D

Hey FLG, I totally understand the being broke part, and feeling pressure to "buy" your special someone a gift..................But I'll tell you a secret, the thing that makes women smile is, putting thought into something for just them!!! Now, for example:

1. Make a coupon book for things like, "FREE FOOTRUB", or "FREE BACKRUB". (Obviously done by you!)  :icon_smile_wink:
2. Do some of the laundry or other chores that she normally does.
3. Cook dinner for the family.
4. Be affectionate in public!!!!!  :2thumbs:
5. And always tell her how much you love her!!! :yesnod: :2thumbs:
Just my  :Twocents: But If I can stand love Chuck for 16 years, I must know something about relationships!  :scratchchin:

I'd really like to take her out for a drive but the roads are all salted around here.  Besides which it's pretty hard to get her started when it's this cold.

As for my wife, I'll likely just get her flowers or something. :nana:
