I was wondering if the drive shaft from a 4 door 67 Coronet will work in my 68 Charger R/T. The Coronet has a 383 auto in it right now I was going to put it in my 68 untill I can get a 440 rebuilt. Both cars are 8-3/4 rear ends. Thanks.

my 67 service manual states this:

Propeller Shaft for an auto tranny with 383CI all models w 8.75 axle
Length is 52.03 in with a 2.75 diameter.
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

I believe a drive shaft for a 68 charger is also just over 52 inches.

Where's John Kunkel?  :icon_smile_big:

Thanks for the measurements guys. I guess  will see how it work I don't think it being a 1/2 inch shorter will cause me any problems. Troy

It's not a half inch it's more like less than a tenth of an inch.

so what's that, like 4/100ths or something?
