purchased a new Hemi block and heads from Westoaks Chrysler in Thousand Oaks, loaded them in the back of my truck, along with the correct 706 NASCAR rods, dry

sump oil assembly and other assorted special parts, and delivered them to Dick Landy, who built and dyno-tested the engine.

Ebays description  Under the hood is a 413 Plymouth? engine that was rebuilt to 426 specs. Mike Landy, brother of Dick Landy,

? I guess its possible that 2 #22 daytonas had driveline built by Landy.Who knows :shruggy:

Thats Pat Mc Kinneys old car I believe

Peter Jenslund in California built this street clone (the one currently on Ebay).    The car Pat McKinney had was a real racing chassis.   It later passed to Bob McNab and was sold at Barrett-Jackson.

There seems to be a few #22s out here keep track of.What are the odds that 2 #22 daytonas had driveline built by Landy

All of this was discussed ad-nauseum in the fake #22 race car thread recently.

Here is what is out there:

1. #22 Daytona (Nichels race chassis) ex-Pat McKinney, sold to Bob McNab, sold at Barrett-Jackson for 324k in 2006. Reportedly discovered in a barn with wing car parts.   (Where are the pics of that?)  "Documented" by sanding paint on the roll bars.   Restored as an Allison car.

2. #22 Daytona street clone:  open left headlight  (ex-Peter Jenslund in California)

3. #22 Daytona street clone:  closed headlights, red front spoiler,  came out of South Bend Indiana area

4. #22 Daytona vintage race car:  the crude one offered at Mecum two weekends ago.   Current owner bought it on the premise it was "real".   Appears to be a converted street car with home made aero parts.

5. #22 Daytona race chassis:  owned by Steve Atwell in Michigan,  unrestored, had later Charger body on it.   This is possibly the only real #22 out there.

6. #22 Daytona late 1970's street clone, ex-Joe Machado, restored to stock in the 1990's.   His son owns it today.
