Looks as if they painted it purple to take advantage of the excitement caused by the introduction of the color on the new Challenger.
Is it me as does the nose on the model look a bit short?

i got a flyer in the mail and the car look good in the flyer .  Doors open , hood opens , trunk opens .

For as many details as they got right, why does the trunk open too far for a SuperBird?

Not to mention the Firestone tires, and the chrome dome air cleaner, and the missing round Road Runner decals on the wing and nose, and ...

i'm sure the decals are a warner brothers licensing thing , ( expensive )

One of the major Die-cast makers (Danbury?) marketed a Cuda Convertible in purple a few years back in 1:24 scale...perhaps it's just me but purple just doesn't look as good as say red, or (fill in whatever color you like) and with so many other "muscle car" colors out there I am really surprised that they used purple. 
I would have liked to see a yellow Superbird, but then that was the color of my old Hemi bird.  (Just my two cents) :Twocents:
