She'll be real happy 'cause a big old check is coming to compensate her. Apparently she doesn't miss the car much to have that attitude. :shruggy:

I got it!  The two of them were fooling around and things got a little hot and heated between the two of them and she kicked him out of bed before he finished!  This way, he left disgruntled with her car that he was supposedly working on whcih caused him to be upset or angry or whatever which caused him to wreck the car.

On a related note: There was a 1968 Charger R/T Hemi, 4 -speed car here, that a guy owned and had dropped off at a body shop to have it repainted..
When he got it back, the engine was knocking..He took it ot a "trusted" mechanic/machine shop that charged way up there to "repair" the car..Come to find out, The shop just ordered a new Engine and replaced it...Now, the owner didn't reallize what had happened until he went to sell it and found out that the engine wasn't the original....

LeadfootBob

A similar and very unpleasant tale:
Guy saves up, imports a Viper.
Guy takes viper to a shop for some maintenance before any kind of heavy driving, and grabs a cup of coffee while it's being done.
As he's waiting, two mechanics take the car out on the freeway, gun it for 5 or so miles, then lose control and total it.
The kicker? A month later there's a bill in his mail box, 700 bucks for new brake pads, oil, anti-freeze and, get this, an "engine warm-up".

Would YOU pay?  :RantExplode:

I never specifically put the blame on anyone.  Do I sense a guilty conscience?     IF anyone is to blame, I would have to say it was on the mechanic however you look at it.

Similar one in australia recently. Doctor dropped off his Lambo for service and the mechanic not only took it for a joy ride, but got it impounded by the police
