In what order should you install the back end?

Getting ready to install quarters, valance, tail panel, trunk gutters and deck filler panel on my 68. What order should I install these items? Also, when should the end caps( between the quarters and valance) go on? Thanks

Everything should be clamped or screwed in place before welding.  This gives you the ability to move things to compensate for other pieces.  When I do it, I chop the whole rear apart and fit the new pieces together.  Whack both quarters off, the deck filler, tail panel, valence, end caps, etc.  The trunk lid will also need to be installed to set the gaps properly.

Man I thought my Charger was rusty but I'm glad I don't have to replace my tail light panel, trunk gutters and deck filler panel!

Hudson Hornet !

You ain't kiddin' !!

The car was a total mess. Some of you may remember me posting about it last year- This is a high school bodyshop project!  The reason I asked is that when we took the car apart, it was more or less with a sawzall as the panels had more bondo than metal. After trial fitting, I can see how the factory did it. Still having trouble posting pictures, and I am not very computer literate.  :2thumbs:

Im thinking one quarter at a time. First rear valence, quarters, then corners.
