I celebrated mine by being independent. Took the car out for a little cruise up and down the highway. Other then that not much. Stayed home with the pets to keep um from freaking out and watched a couple of movies. Listened to everyone else blow up there hard earned money outside. lol Not me this year. need to save it up for winter time repairs.  :rotz:

I just stayed at home. We sat out on the sidewalk and watched the fireworks. Too many car repairs for me this year , too. :pity:

went great! visited a car show in logan utah, first time in about five years. spotted one 68 and one 66 there were a few superbees and a bunch of challys. not bad for the show. when i used to put my cadi in it there were around 400 cars and only a couple mopars. this year were considerably more there cars of all kinds! there give away car this year was i belave a 66 gto i didnt go see it cuz i wanted outa town before the parade started. it pumped me up even more to get my car ready! then the usual after steak fry, drinkin, and roman candle wars! over all it was real good hope everyone else was the same!
Restoring a charger is like a saying I heard along time ago "I never said it would be easy, I only said it would be worth it".... Jesus I wish I could remember who said that...

It was HOT so I lounged by the pool all day and had a BBQ.  Starting to get ready for the big show in Carlisle.   :icon_smile_big:

Went to my wife's cousin's house in Rutherford, NJ for the annual Fourth-Of-July-Pack-Em-In-BBQ-Beer-Pool-Party-Live-Music-And-No-Blowing-Anything-Up celebration.

She's been doing it every July 4th for years & it's almost like a mini family reunion for my wife's side of the family. It get's pretty crowded, but it's still fun with lots of food. The in-ground pool is about 20' x 30' & the yard is like 35' x 50'. They have tables, dining canopys, 2 bars, & a cabana all squeezed in around the edges of the pool. They used to set the band up in front of the cabana, but one year the guitaist fell in so they now use the next door neighbor's backyard to set up a stage area for all the amps, sound board, mics, & the 6 or 7 people jamming.

If anyone has ever seen the Rodney Dangerfield movie, "Easy Money" there's a scene in it of the wedding reception in Rodney's backyard, this party looks just like it except there's a pool in the middle.  :smilielol:

It pretty much sucked here.   Saturday the 3rd we got a parade in.   Then stuff in the afternoon that got rained out. Car show in the evening that had a small turn out despite the rain. Then it really cut loose the rain. We have had 6-8 inches of rain in the last 36 hours and stuff is flooded everywhere and all July 4 stuff canceled. 10 week old baby has been crying non stop this morning. Wife is bitching and I am about out of beer!
This was earlier........

We got the same rain Tood got, just not in the qty...I belive Lubbock had quite a bit though.  We got rained on in the parade Saturday morning...made cruise night Sat night but it looked like rain the whole time...Sunday it never did rain much, but the cloud cover was there.  I worked on the website and think I fianlly got the aam.com page to work with IE8...Played the Challenger Freedom commercial a bit and wet the grass down to keep drunk idiots from burning the place down...

Oh and I believe next year I will wake up around 5 AM on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th and light off fireworks since everyone was so kind to let me enjoy the sounds all night up till they passed out around 3 each morning...

rained all day here so I didn't get what I wanted done outside and the A/C broke last night for the 10th time in the last year. 5 year old piece of junk. Good thing the rain kept it cool here in Florida. I'm not getting the unit fixed again. Today we dug out the window units until I get a new central unit.

worked on the house. got some new carpeting in awhile back, and ended up at the red white and blue sale at a local furniture store. have been looking to send the old couch packing for some time now. the new carpet really makes that thing look like hell now. got  what i think was a great deal on a couch and matching lazyboy type chair. and yes it has a shifter on the side. scored some major points with the girlfriend. [that'll come in handy with the car later]

other than that, didnt see many fireworks but as i'm sitting here i'm still hearing 'em.
with all this house stuff i have to do this summer, sadly the charger has to wait.

Ours in Livermore was also very good. Lots of people, BBQ, pets and fireworks. The air temp was about 85 to 90 degrees, with not a cloud in the sky. For all her idiots California still has a lot going for her.

The wife and i got invited to her friends campground/motorhome in friendsville pa for cookout and fire works. She wanted to take the charger,so any excuse to drive her works for me.Fire works were pretty cool ,for a small park they lasted a long time and were on different parts of the lake going off at the same time.     And we didn't break down ,so that's always a plus.

MoparMotel

Had a great time. Went to Pismo beach in California with the toy hauler and rode and watched the fireworks. Lots of fun.

Regardless, congratulations Dad. :2thumbs:
