  I tried to link a thread to Allpar and all it will do is give the genaric DC.com discussion boards home page...
but not the specific thread, and I've tried several different way to get the thread link info...

You're basically asking me how Allpar's forum works. I have no idea. Presumably, you need to wrap the URL in a "tag" or it won't link the entire path (ie it will only use maybe 80% - probably as far as the comma - so when the request comes to this server it doesn't know what you want and serves up the forum index).
