I ordered a new gas tank for my 70 Charger and it came with an slight external greasy coating on it.  Should I clean this off and then spray a clear coat over the tank to protect it?  Or is this greasy coat sufficient to protect the tank for the long haul?  Thanks

Clean it off and clear coat it.  :2thumbs:

nothing like an oxidizing gas tank to blemish the view.

Sounds like the right thing to do.  Thanks for the input.  :2thumbs:
