Well we are still trying to get all the bugs out of the car after several small problems from just finishing it 2 months ago. I would like to give a special shout out to John,H my master ace mechanic for all his help with it. We attended the Worcester MA Summer Nationals yesterday and today and received one of the top 25 judges choice awards.

Congratulations! Nice car! Is that stripe painted or a decal?

stuga

Yes, It felt very good. I couldn't believe the complements we got from all the people. It was very nice to talk with some of them and hear them say how nice the car looks and they couldn't believe it was my first restoration project.

stuga

The strip on the side and black-out on hood is painted.

What was even better was the judges had a keen eye to the mopars at the show. Our friends were parked next to us with his 70 charger and looked what happen :icon_smile_big:

General_01

Guess the judges liked green.  :icon_smile_big:

Congratulations.  I entered my '71 Super Bee in a show for the first time on Friday night and took home a plaque as well!

That is one beautiful Charger!  Question: Based on the hood, it looks like a Super Bee?
Most of your life should be "off the record."

Thanks Guys. I never ex spected to get a trophy since it isn't a matching #car and I built it my way with the 71 hood and grill on a 73SE. When the guys was talking with my son and I, we just told them we did it as a father and son project and took the Best that dodge offered in the 3rd generation years and combined them to our liking. We didn't even know the three guys were judges.
I also heard at least three other Mopar cars won besides our friends 1970 charger.

I thought I'd add this link to your compleation post, since some folks may not be familier with your Very Nice SE...

Congrats on a well deserved piece of hardware.  :2thumbs:

Cool that your buddy didn't clone his.  Do you know if that's the original color for his car?

stuga

I don't know if his was original sassy green, but I do know his said it was supposed to have a vinyl top and he just pulled the original 383 and installed a modified 440,
Thanks for all your complements
