what is your favorite year of charger? my personal favorite is 1969.
When your Charger is sideways, just give it more gas!

This thing has been brought up many times, and we have always concluded that the 1968 is the best, obviously.

:slap: 68 is slightly more popular then the '69,..  :shruggy:

most of the time us 1st geners dont lower ourselves to such a challenge so we are naturally under valued in the scoring but just remember, if no one like the first one there wouldn't have been any other ones.............................

Slightly more is still the best. Kind of like being slightly pregnant....

I'm a 2nd & 3rd generationer.  Why lump all 3rd gens together????  70 & 71 are the best of each in terms of
performance & options.  The rest is simply subjective personal preference.

I couldn't vote because my first place favourite is an absolute tie between 72 Rallye and 69, but I would vote 72 Rallye. You need to seperate 71-74 cars, many differences. It would be like putting 68-70. All these polls usually do favour the 68 though.

BlueSS454

I've always liked 68-9's taking a slight favoring to the 69  :yesnod:

What about the 4 door Chargers.  :stirthepot:

The last time we did this it was 1968. I don't think it will change this time.  :pity:

69 is my first pick 68 is close second and then 70. ;D

Blakcharger440

The 68 will win by percentage because more 68 Chargers were built than any other 2nd gen i believe...so therefore more people own them and of course....that means more votes, simple statistic. The 70 is the rarest.

I own a 68 and a 70.....but I prefer my 70.

b5blue

70 only because that's what I got.......I'd gotten any one and still wish there was some way to have gotten the 72 Rallye 400 sitting next to mine

I guess you can say I am partial to my 68. I liked the 69 I had. 70 they changed too much for me but would take one for the right price. I had a 71 and hated the whole body style. I really want a 66-67 one day. If the right 4 door one came my way I would take it even though they don't seemed to be liked here. But what I really want is something not even mentioned here a mid 80's turbo charger with a 5 speed.  :yesnod:
So to put them in a year order I would go
68
66-67
80's
69
70
06 up

Nobody loves the '76?

I thought the last year of charger was 1970.  :stirthepot:

1976 I thought was an oldsmobile or something judging by the way it looked.  :slap:

I LOVE the '69. I think the design and styling are perfect. There is nothing I would change about it. The only thing that was lacking on '69 was the absence of 60 series 15" tires and some nice 15" factory mag wheels. The 68 is beautiful, but I prefer the '69s side markers and taillights. The '70 had all the cool performance options, but in my opinion, they ruined it with the longer fenders and the loop bumper.
Judging by the prices of the 68-70's, I would have guessed the 69s were more desired because they seem to bring more money.
BTW, I own a 66 which I like for all the unique features. I don't own a 69 (yet. I should have one in a few months when I complete as deal on one).
