Why not get your Charger running and drive it as is    It appears to be in good enough shape to drive...can you get it running and just drive it until you save the funds for restoring it?

I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that.....mainly because of the structual rust. It looks pretty good up top but the left rear frame rail is rusty and so is the torsion bar crossmember.

I'm sure there are people on here that would be MORE than happy to meet up and help you weld it in if you just buy it. Just drive the Duster as it is and take one more year off wanting to show it. I am just anxious to see that charger go.

Hamtramck is just a hop, skip, and a jump from where I live Cody.  Mine was built in St. Louis and I live near Hamtramck, that's how it figures.

You're pretty lucky. The earliest owner I can find on my car is a guy who owned it back in the late 80s/early 90s and brought it up from California to Oregon. He says he doesn't have any pics in his possession but he thinks maybe his ex-wife has some. However there seems to be some bad blood there so he doesn't have access to them; if they still exist. I think my next move will be to try to get in touch with her directly.

And of course the current owner of my old '70 is an @$$hole and won't send me any current pics of it despite the fact I've sent him about a dozen I took before he got a hold of it.
