^they must be doing well, all their cars seem to sell pretty well when they go on ebay. I had wanted the blue R/T but that sucker was gone fast.

been looking for 4 months since my wrecked '69, can't find anything for a good, fair price. too much for too much work, "done" cars for 2006 prices, rusty cars, blahhhh...

maybe I just need to suck it up and buy other Mopars instead 'cause the prices for 68-69's have held up pretty good. for the most part..

Would you settle on another car if it's a Charger you want?  Do with this advice as you please but I seriously recommend sticking to what you want and waiting for the right one.  Would another car give you the same fuzzy warm feeling inside?

Stay away from ebay, the days of grabbing a deal up there are long gone.  You'll have better luck with CL and the likes.  Have you posted an ad yourself looking for one?  That's how I found mine.  The previous owner didn't think of selling it until he saw my ad and started thinking that he could really use the money with a kid on the way.

^you posted a wanted ad on craigslist or here on dodgecharger.com? I've done the latter, plus a wanted ad on moparts as well. only had a handful of responses-two very very rusty cars, one that's a rolling shell yet they want $8k and the rest are other mopars. with craigslist, either they're too nice, ebay-priced/day dreaming or if it's decently priced, already sold or they don't reply (i'm really disliking car ads without phone numbers if the seller isn't going to respond to emails).

you're right though. i wouldn't get the same feeling with another ride, it'd be like settling. sure i'd enjoy it but it wouldn't be the same...

I did put an ad on dc.com but got no response.  Or at least nothing that went anywhere.

I posted my wanted ad on CL and received one or two offers to buy a rustheap for 50 grand.  Only after I reposted it did I get the reply that got me this car.  I was lucky, very lucky.

As always it's quite hard to find what you want for the price you want but they are out there.  I thought about settling for a while but then I would probably feel twice as bad,  It's like saying I give up, this is what I'll stick with and I refused to do that.  There's only one car for me and that's how it is.  I love a lot of cars out there but none come close to the 69 Charger.

I forget where you are in the country, what area are you looking?

Hey - here's one... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NICE-1969-Dodge-Charger-A-C-Car-SOLID-/320833366205?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item4ab328a8bd#ht_500wt_1182

Oh, you already own that one, and are selling...  :scratchchin:

QuoteAs I have stated in previous auctions, our passion is finding these cars and putting them into the hands of people who may not have the methods of search that we do.  We know it is extremely frustrating trying to find one of these cars from a seller that you can trust.

Busted lol. Methods of search... Means be the fastest to pull the trigger on a deal when it comes up for sale.. Ive been doing that since before you were born with 69 chargers. Probably why ive had 150 of them. Good luck you and your dad or whoever buys them are late to the party!

this thread sucks  :eek2:

I don't know, I think it's kinda revealing...

Guy comes online and asks for pictures of 69 Chargers... saying he's "looking for one" :popcrn:

Next come a few posts which don't really say much, but maybe they are suspicious  :shruggy:

Then comes the revealing post with links to all the recent 1969 Chargers the "family" (he) has listed for sale...  :scratchchin:

Others post the thinly veiled attempt at "finding" a changer has been uncovered  :o

...and then another calls the flipper, a flipper  :nana:

I don't know, kinda interesting... :Twocents:

cavemanno1

WE have bought our charger from them, wish we didn't :icon_smile_dissapprove:
I know it was our fault to trust people but why do you want to fu.k over someone i don't know!Didn't wanna rant but those guys can not be trusted!!!
Windshield was cracked, brake was usuless(waited 2weeks for him to fix it,which he didn't but said he did)gas tank was full of rust, killed 2 fuel pumps needed a new one, rebuilt engine trans pissing oil, interior was shittier then on pictures, scratches on the paint! :brickwall:

This has been inside of me for almost a year now and didn't want to post it but now had enough!!!Basically our dream car turned out some sort of nightmare!
Have no problem with finding cars and selling them for a bit of a profit but lie about the facts is where i get pissed off! After we payed them had to wait 4months for the car because he was "fixing the brakes and waiting for new break booster"which he didn't swap! The more i think about the more i get pissed off!
I believe in what comes around goes around!

Thanks a lot Tate :slap:

This guy is a POS and I was fooled by him! Fixing my car up for his son, what a crock! Live and learn I guess. Another guy that tried to buy my car before him actually did buy it from this guy for 32,500. finished! I laughed and hung up on him!
Takes a MOPAR to catch a mopar!
